“What would be the main objective and purpose of this exhibition?”

Debra Wilkes Gray - Coordinator for the Corozal House of Culture

“It is basically to appreciate an to give these gentlemen who work so hard all year long at their work, rarely do they have time to appreciate and sit back and see their art work, they are usually out there providing for their families so this is an opportunity for them to come and enjoy their art work as well as the community to come in and embrace art here in Corozal , it is just another opportunity for the community to come out and support culture. The artist here they deserve to be recognized; Mr. Allan Jones, we have Mr. Hubert, we have Bob Wright, we have Mr Alberto Lopez and we have a new artist that just showed up here last week and they wanted to be just brave enough to show us their talent, Mr David Aviles so we have a couple of his pieces, Mr Rolando Matute who showed up last year out of the blue with some beautiful art whose come back again and Mr Daniel Cano, he participated in the Coca Cola art exhibit last year and he is back with two pieces this year and Edwardo Papo Alamilla, famous throughout the country he is here with us.”

The exhibit will run for the entire month of June.
