from Wendy Auxillou....
If you all will recall, last year I was trying to get funding for a Women of Caye Caulker documentary.
Well, the funding effort did not succeed, but the documentary project lives on.
In the end, several long-time male residents of Caye Caulker were also included in the project, the late Chocolate Heredia being one of them, and so the project was renamed "Roots in the Sea."
Here is an excerpt from the Roots in the Sea documentary narrated by my mother, 84 year old Ilna Auxillou, about her experience with the Blue Hole.https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=634...e=2&theater
This short clip of Chocolate Heredia made it into the 2013 Belize Film Fesvial, and is scheduled to be screened on July 23rd.https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=613...e=2&theater
In fact, if you go HERE, you can find several awesome clips from out elderly citizens that will make you go AWWWWW! So enjoy!https://www.facebook.com/RootsInTheSea
And we are still trying to raise some more funds so that the professional director can come back to the island and interview a few other oldtimers. So please support the project on Indigogo here:http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/roots-in-the-sea?browse_v=new
And lastly, please pass this around to your friends.
