We are first time vistors coming later this month. We are staying in a house north of town and have been told that their is fishing right off the dock. Is that true? What are we likely to catch? When's the best time to fish? Are their guides who would be willing to teach us dock fishing? Supposedly the house has poles but what might we need to bring - we have fly poles? Thanks so much for your help.

Mehlis -- Send me an e-mail, and I can answer some of your questions. I believe you are staying in our house, so I can tell you what is there, and what some recent guests have caught, where, and how.

If you go with a guide, I'm sure they provide the gear. If you are fishing on your own, and if the place you are staying doesn't supply it, then I think you'd better bring the Ronco... I may be wrong, but I've never seen fishing gear for rent.
