I am looking to move to Belize, my wife is Canadian and I am British.

I don't know the areas well what-so-ever, but I would appreciate information from persons living there.

We want to live on the coast, where are the safest areas, and cheap real estate?

I am looking for something close to the airport, location needs to be on the ocean.

I am in love with this country and want to relocate. Any help in regards to the above.. Let's get talking everyone, would love the help.

Thanks,

Barrington

I don't think anybody could answer this for you. If you've visited Belize for long enough length of time it would be easier to know for sure where you wanted to be. I would suggest visiting for at least 2 weeks and travel the entire country to help you make that decision. Then, moving by renting somewhere for a few months before making the final decision to buy.

Thank you so much for the feedback.

I am looking to come down for a visit and get acquainted within the community, however, I am a planner and like to do thorough research, lol.

These are 3 separate issues and conflict.
If by coast you mean beachfront that is never cheap.
Of course the petty thiefs are going to go where the goodies are.
There are 'coasts' fronting the mainland as well as all the island (called cayes and pronounced keys).
It would be like asking where is the best place to live in the US. Come look see.

Which airport?

If you really want to do some research and get a better idea of where you really want to take a closer look go to the home page of this site and work your way through every tab along the left side of the page. Look at the maps, all of the real estate sites, the news stories, and the blogs. Use the search function on this message board for past information on each subject you asked about. After reading all of these things come back and ask questions. You'll have specific questions that can be answered.
