This is my first posting, having just discovered this resource. I and some companions will be coming south from Playa Del Carmen to spend 5 days on the island. I have read that there is a ferry from Corozal Town to San Pedro, does anyone know about this and do they publish any kind of schedule?

Unless it's changed recently, the Lady Lowe runs four or five mornings a week, at 6 a.m., from the dock at Tony's and Corozal Bay Inn. You could e-mail those two hotels (both have Web sites) and get any updates. Believe the price is US$17.50 one-way.

Believe it takes about 1 1/2 hours.

Probably the best place to buy my books is Amazon.com or a bookstore in the U.S. or Canada before you go to Belize.

The Thunderbolt has been running daily routes to and from Corozal
since the 23rd of november of last year non-stop. it offers a real comfortable 1.5 hour ride to Corozal.

The new Thunderbolt that makes daily runs from San Pedro - Corozal - San
Pedro has new features compared to the
existing Thunderbolt boats; namely the introduction of a new style canopy
with sliding windows, newly designed captain seat and control area, and
bus-type reclining chairs.

This Corozal boat travels every day from the Thunderbolt dock:

San Pedro To Corozal 7:00AM
Corozal To San Pedro 3:00PM
Fare : 40.00 One Way, 80.00 Round Trip

It docks at the main pier in Corozal Town. There are only 4 piers in
Corozal Town and this one can be also identified as the pier close to
Reunion Park.

The daily Belize City schedule remains the same:

San Pedro To Belize City 7:00AM
Belize City To San Pedro 1:00PM (Except Sundays Belize To San Pedro 9:00AM)
Fare : 25.00 One Way, 50.00 Round Trip
