Thank you SPTC (town council) for grading the southern road. It is greatly improved (at least until the next hard rain). The residents, the visitors and all others that use the road appreciate it.

I second the message of thanks to the SPTB. The grading and rolling makes a big difference. It is amazing how quickly the roads deteriorate after just a couple of rains. At some point there are a bunch of spots that will need some serious hardcore additions. Thanks again Town Board

Too bad they did not go another 2000 ft to where the sand was trucked from. This portion of the road has not been graded in over a year.

People shouldn't be allowed to license and drive their vehicles unless they've paid their property taxes up to date. This would give the island the revenues needed to pave the roads north and south and through San Pablo/DFC.

The SPTC is seriously delinquent in collecting tax arrears. It would be great if Central Government would help but why should they if we refuse to collect our own local taxes?

The very large vehicles causing a lot of damage well north have no license plates at all.

The irony is that the fully loaded sand trucks are a large part of why the roads south are in such awful condition as they bump along the road. Although the grader was here less than a week ago, the roads are quickly returning to their poor condition. I am certainly not a road expert but it seems the grader blade is not reaching the bottom of the many deep holes. Seems the only true fix will be adding hardcore to the road. Don't get me wrong, the work the SPTB does is much appreciated. I agree with a previous post that perhaps there needs to be a real push to collect delinquent property taxes.
