Did not cop to possession and allowed the wife to stay in jail? Boggles the mind.

Ok I have to ask... how much are cigarettes in Belize? Also what is the law regarding ammunition? My calculations say that they are giving the cigarettes a market value of almost $30.00 a pack?

Chances the "carton" reference means a large box of them rather than the traditional carton we think of when using the word. Any kind of ammunition requires a permit - even a single bullet will get you thrown in Jail. Guns and ammo , very strict rules requiring permits.

Father and two sons released on bail

Also in the courts a father and his two sons, remanded to prison on a charge of kept ammunition without a gun license, were released on bail of eight thousand dollars each earlier today. They are forty-two year old Nazim Nasser, nineteen year old Jamal Nasser and eighteen year old Hilal Nasser. They were offered bail by Justice Herbert Lord. Thirty-six year old Jaziba Nasser, Nazim's wife and the mother of his sons who is pregnant, was released on bail in the same amount last week. The family of four, all of them residents of San Pedro, was charged when police searched a safe at the home and reported that they found six rounds of .22 caliber ammunition.

Very strange: one can kill someone and go free but you can not have rusted bullets?
