We are making our second trip to San Pedro on Wednesday and were wondering if Día de Muertos is celebrated on the Caye and if so, what are the activities?

Yes it is celebrated. The San Pedro Cultural Committee, has activities planned for 1st and 2nd of November. The 1st is celebrated as All Saints Day. An alter will be place outside of the church... near the San Pedro Statue where community members can place candles and offering as well pictures in memory of their love departed ones. There will also be a community activity at the Cemetery. At both events, traditional Mestizo/Mayan finger food will be given out. 2nd, the venue will be the San Pedro Roman Catholic School where their will be a fair...

Tonight is Noche de Muertos. This documentary film is from the area of the State of Michoacan in MX where we like to visit. This is the real deal and being there at this time is an awesome experience.
