I have visited San Pedro and Caye Caulker 4 times in 5 years now and found these wonderful islands via this forum.
Today I happened to stumble upon a brand new (opened today) Middle-Eastern cuisine place that was IMHO worth opening a membership to mention.
I had some of the best Hummus, Stuffed Grape Leaves and Kibbeh this side of Beirut.
It's located right on the Front? street, corner before the Split.
The girl was sweet, the food was great, American fare served as well.
Definitely worth checking out if you're on Caye Caulker, I'll be going back.

Just curious, why would someone want MiddleEastern Food in the Carribean ?

Because we eat beans and rice for 100 days in a row and then want something else?

Clean, light, tasty and made from locally available ingredients. Further, it represents the cuisine of a portion of the local population.

The cuisine question that comes up for me much more often is why there are so many Italian restaurants - pasta and cheese in the tropics is way harsher on the system than a lovely roasted chicken or a nice plate of hummus.

And Middle Eastern food, sort of a subset of the Mediterranean diet, may even make you live longer, recent studies suggest.

Ernie, if you come this way, we have Snapper fingers and burgers, Shrimp pita wraps, and Tenderloin and T-bone Steaks for die-hard American cuisine fans, I'm one myself!

Day off, more rain. Dressed the dog up in her Mrs Santa Clause gear and having claustrophobia with all the rain decided to go out to lunch. Ate at Aladdin, Almost had the fajitas but will save that for a dinner trip. We had Jalapeno, bacon, cheeseburgers with homemade french fries and fresh lime juice. What a treat for another miserable day here in Paradise ....The owners are excited about your visiting Ernie B.

True, we all know the name but not the man. I would enjoy a sit down with someone I sort of know but have never met.

Well the sun finally made an appearance along with quite a few customers, both tourists and locals.
We, (credits to the wife) are getting some nice compliments on the food.
Come and try us for something different, NO rice and beans!

My last night on the caye, be back in February.
Have eaten at Aladdins 3 more times, yet to be disappointed.
Really a nice switch from previous years, good menu and affordable, I'll be coming back here.
Merry Christmas to all.

Got back yesterday, just in time it seems.
Aladdins had to close for 2 days for owners to move residences.
Can't say enough about the tasty and extremely reasonably priced dishes here!

Ate at Aladdins again, worth the walk to the split.
They serve the best food at the best prices on the island!
Definitely the best value on the caye in my opinion, and I've tried most every restaurant here.
Hope they stay, lots of them come and go it seems.
With their food I can't see them not making it.
Clicked on their tripadvisor page, number 12 out of 62 already.
Nice people, cute kids, wish them luck!
