Anyone know of any discounts on Tropic fares to San Pedro?
There are 6 of us in May.

3 cheaper ways to get to San Pedro from Belize City for larger groups.

1. Take a cab to the docks and catch the water taxi to the island. Go to www.Belizewatertaxi.com for a schedule. Cost is $17.50 one way.
2. Take a cab to the municipal airport and fly Tropic Air to the island. I just checked and its $135.05 from Belize City for each adult and $81.30 from Belize Municipal. Both are round trip airfares including tax. Then add in $25 for the cab fee.
3.Last but not least fly Maya Island Air to the island. This will save you about $20-$25 per ticket round trip.

You could charter a helicopter for $3500 but I doubted you wanted that option. Most people prefer Tropic Air over Maya Island Air.

Go to www.tacogirl.com and she can save you 10% on Tropic Air fares. Never used her but have only heard good things.

If time is no issue you should consider the water taxi. Lots of savings if money is the issue. Just be prepared for a longer ride. The flight is only about 15 minutes from loading to offloading.

It's my understanding there's a discount for paying cash for your flights. Not sure if that is the case for both companies or not (flying).
