Thanks Jane. Looks like a great place. Love all the animals! Not that I don't like all the pretty plants too. Next trip I want to spend a few days inland. Perhaps this would be a good place to check out? Seems very relaxing there.

ah, you poor souls. i have ALL those things. a p4 with cable modem cd reader & burner. fast as s&*t, but the softwear that comes with the camera can't handle it (?). it just exits.

i can copy them directly from the cd, but i cannot use the software to manipulate them. (ie, lighten, darken, contrast, zoom, etc.). so you are seeing my pics au natural.

the long part is looking seperatly at each one of 500 pics to SEE them before i copy, rearrange them, and to narrow down so u r not bored.

we can't have that!

i didn't mean to soundlike that. i'm no softwarre snob. but the brighten, contrast & gamma were not as...um...easy to control. they are pretty detailed with my camedia ware...when it works. you'll see. i had to work on the tropic air shots.

but...i really should just invest in the photoshop; but my kids would never see me again. laugh!

oh, and i lose the pc at nights now...frank got a new game & plays each eve...dungeon seige...i sneak back on after he falls asleep!

Great duPlooy's pics! My biggest question, though...did you get to see "Kaya The Wonder Dog"?

She's the little black one with the big soulful eyes and even bigger ears. Likely jumped in your canoe if you paddled into town. Allegedly survived a tossle with a boa.

PS: One of my favorite duPlooy's moments was one night (after several spent listening to all sorts of "snorting" outside after dark) apparently we had a tapir fight (or something) going on just outside our cabin. One little guy, running away in fear we think, must have smashed head first into our bedroom wall. Literally ROCKED the house! Also, loved those hummingbirds and toucan cousins!

kim3, that dog stuck close to the kitchen. but we had chester, a female brn & white mutt of some sort that slept outside our casita. she was very nice. would follow me up & down the cat-walk. i wish i had kept one of saga's flea collars for her tho.

i absolutely loved duplooy's. i thought it would be more rustic, but it was just the perfect balance of nature & humans. we had king sized beds, 24 hr elec, & good water pressure

aimee did NOT care for the ants in the bathroom, but i explained that we were intruding in their home. the rainforest NEEDS ants. (we sprayed a bit anyway)

K, were you the one who canoed to chaa? we did too, and were very glad we picked duplooy's instead. chaa creek is gorgeously landscaped, but WAY too manicured for what i want in a jungle lodge. there were even lawn mowers going!

plus, our lunch there was over $100 US (yes, LUNCH). and we could not keep the flies off it. we were also extremely glad duplooy's dining room is screened in.

duplooy's got 5 thumbs up from us.
