The San Pedro-based airline Tropic Air today announced that effective November 1it will commence a daily service to Roatan, Honduras.

Currently Tropic Air only has a four times per week service.

President of Tropic Air John Grief III is quoted in a company press release as saying that he is excited about the increased service to Roatan “in response to the overwhelming support and enthusiasm of our passengers.”

The statement from Tropic Air says that with the daily service to Roatan, passengers will not have an easier way of making connections to various destinations in Belize, as well as to Cancun, Merida, and Flores (Guatemala).

Tropic Air says that since Roatan, Honduras is an integral part of the airline’s network, it is only logical that the frequency of flights be increased.

This daily service is expected to “allow traffic to grow even more’ for Tropic Air and at the same time provide “a source of growing tourism and trade business to Belize.”

The new daily schedule for Tropic Air between Belize and Roatan, Honduras will see the flight taking off from Roatan at 8 am and arriving at the Phillip Goldson International Airport an hour later.

The return flight will take off from the Phillip Goldson International Airport at 4:14 pm, arriving in Honduras an hour later.
