Hi everyone
Leaving for AC on Thursday & was wondering how the weather is supposed to be for the following week
Will be staying at coral bay & would love to hear some suggestions as to restaurants & things to do if it does end up raining a lot
Thanks so much!

The weather changes often as you are on the beach. Don't stress over it. Over the years I have been vacationing in San Pedro I have only lost one day due to heavy rains and that was due to a hurricane north of us heading in to Mexico. It just forced me to do indoor activities, thanks Fidos and the staff !! Make sure you eat at Blue Water Grill and Wild Mangos, they are just a short walk north. Don't forget Estelle"s for breakfast. Also there is a hidden gem called El Fagon. If you have a cart think about Robin's kitchen, it is south of town. Don't forget Elvis on middle street for some local cuisine. Mostly locals eat there. Its fantastic. Also for lunches dont forget the street vendors. "Street Meat" as I call it is wonderful there. From barbecue chicken to different styles of tacos, hot dogs, and burgers, they are also inexpensive and tasty. You can find these on most street corners and around central park. I eat at them often and never had issue with bad food or illness. Soak up the local charm and try them.
Not sure if this is your first trip or not so I added a link with a map. I hope the link works on here. Have a great trip, I am jealous !!

Thanks for the replies Edwardo & Tahunt
I just checked the weather again & got very depressed till I read your posts. I'm really looking forward to sitting out by the pool most days doing nothing but enjoying a good book & an umbrella drink. I hope there'll only be scattered showers & that I still get lots of time to do that. I'll check out the restaurants you both suggested (that's the only other thing I wanna do....eat!)
yes this is my first trip to AC so thanks for the map

Don't be depressed about the weather. It is the rainy season but that doesn't mean it will rain all the time. I would be willing to bet (only because of my experiences) that most of the rain showers will happen overnight !!

OK, i'm gonna take that bet & keep my fingers crossed! In any case i'm still excited about going smile
are there any beach cam's I can check out? I looked at the one on this site but it's not of the beach (don't know where that one is). I'd love to put something on my computer that I can look at till I actually get there

The weather reports you are seeing are probably for the whole country, not specifically for San Pedro.
We are dying for rain out here. There is a system in the Atlantic that might bring showery weather to some lucky island or area on the weekend, and for those of us with cisterns, we'd love to be the ones getting wet. Elbert's photos in the weather section of this message board are pretty helpful and also beautiful. There is also a weather site at. www.sanpedroweather.com

Ya!!! I didn't think about it being for the whole country. That could be a very positive sign for me!
Sorry you guys are dry & wanting rain while i'm hoping against it. I know what that's like as I live in Dallas TX & we too are dying for rain over here. I'll pray that you get some after I leave
Thanks for the link about the weather.

Meryl I live in Dallas too and would welcome the rain. I am melting here. If you have any questions or need advice about anything prior to leaving just PM me. I have made the trip to San Pedro too many times to count. I can pretty much tell you anything you need to know.

Meryl, you asked if there was a live cam. If you click on the TacoGirl Blog over to the right of this page you can click on the web cam. I used to look at it, but you have to do some things to see it now that I don't know how to do on this MAC. You might check it out.
