Weekly Weather Outlook for Belize
September 8-15, 2014
Summary: A deep and moist easterly airflow will prevail over the NW Caribbean during this working week. This is typical of September climatology, after the below normal rainfall conditions that prevailed across the country during the first half of the 2014 rainy season (June through August, 2014), which impacted the main corn crop that was planted later than normal. Model forecast (NOAA-GFS) is resolving an active tropical wave moving over Belize during Wednesday (see NHC 72-hr forecast map). This feature will be coupled with an upper level, diffluent ridge circulation, favorable for further widespread outbreaks of thunderstorms, especially inland over the Orange Walk, Cayo and Toledo districts.

From Belmopan... 08:15 BZT

A much better day today, it started with Sun, no rain last night. . .. The Radar is showing on ly a very few scattered showers out in the Caribbean, a few in southern Belize and some to the north of Belize. . . . . .There was a small active ITCZ down near PG by that has now cleared.

So Today I am expecting much more sun than recently, significant cloud, but only the occasional scattered shower.

That TS/H out in the Atlantic is going to e going northwards, not effecting any land.. . . .The Hurricane to our west is still slightly effecting our weather, causing cloud to come down from the NW over Belize.
