At 7:am this morning on Ambergris Caye it's still dark from a heavy overcast and pouring rain. If your bilge pump wasn't working last night you'll know this morning from the location of your boat :-) expected high is 82f.

From Belmopan...

The cold front moving in over the Yucatan from the NW has been pushing the warmer wet air upwards, causing overnight rain.

In North Belmopan only had 2.6mm ( 0.1" ) or light rain, but more could come. ... .There is broken low cloud and high cloud around and also some blue sky showing through this morning.. . . .The Radar is still not working, so I do not kn ow how widespread the rain has been, but I suspect much of Belize, particularly the north.. . . . .It does not look as if the cold front is moving much towards us. ...It caused a large area flare up over northern Belize, so i expect that produced a fair amount of rain and may well still be raining up north. . . .There was a smaller pocket down south, but that has evaporated away now. . ..

I am expecting a rather mixed day. . . .Mainly cloud, some heavy, giving patches of rain from time to time, probably getting less as the day warms up, with the occasional sun patches showing through.

They have not redrawn that cold front line since last night.

We cleaned the pond yesterday and filled it with fresh water. The overnight rain caused it to overflow. I may not have any turtles left.
This rain came in from the west wetting areas that are normally protected.

As a cold front enters the country and starts bringing heavy rains into Ambergris Caye, the Education Officer in San Pedro has called off classes for today, Tuesday, for the entire island until Thursday, Nov. 20 as tomorrow is a national holiday in observance of Garifuna Settlement Day.

And they wonder why EDUCATION is so low here. We went to school in all weathers.

Last week my son's class took a science test and nearly 90% FAILED.

Belize weather forecaster says 100% chance of rain tomorrow but also says the radar is broken. else where it sure looks like the North wind is gona blow this out of here.
I'm wondering what tomorrow will bring. Got this feeling the weather man will blow the forecast and we see blue sky tomorrow.
