On Ambergris Caye this morning after a night of hard rain the wind is howling from the North at 22 mph. Our expected high is only 78f.
Advisories: *Small craft warning in effect for coastal waters of the country for gusty winds and rough seas!!!*
Tough trip to work for North Islanders, Flooded road, blocked beaches so the only alternative is by boat.

Fly fishing the flats is going to be problematic today...looks like the reels are going to get a tear down and rebuild. Warm cup of tea and a Bakers cinnamon roll first...

Yep the flats on the West side must be ripin. I have to explain to tourist who are standing in the Lea why we aren't going outside the reef. It seems calm here but 400 yards out it's a different world and the consequences of something going wrong aren't worth the risk.
