On Ambergris Caye this morning the Northerner is still with us at 22 mph. The has a heavy over cast delivering sprinkles of rain. The expected high is 77 but currently 71. Burrrrrr!

From Belmopan...

The northerly cold air is in firm grip of Belize right now, but there is higher easterly Caribbean air streaming in overhead, which has been contributing to the present overcast or elevated fog conditions and drizzle. . . . .I measured 0.6mm ( 0.02" ) of moisture over night. If the Caribbean air wins, then that will bring rain.. . .At present it is sort of holding steady against the cold northerly air.

Hard to predict what will happen today.. . . .The present overcast will get brighter as the day warms up, with possible glimpses of sun.. .. There should be little or nor rain.. . .But if the Caribbean air starts to win later today, then there will be some rain later.

An update to the above. .. .It would appear the present drizzle has only started recently, indicating that the Caribbean warmer wetter air is presently winning a bit, over the cold air. . . . . In which case, it will take longer for the overcast to get thinner, and an increased chance of rain earlier today.. . . . .. Last night was the coldest night of th season at 65°F 18°C

Don't let the sun fool you it's dangerously rough at the reef.

Hmmmmm..Mavericks Jr. ....Reels are all rebuilt, new line...I'm considering taking up fly tying..but the birding down here has been interesting enough this week to disregrad the odd shower.
