From Belmopan...
That swirling around of the cloud over Belize and Guatamala yesterday afternoon, was due to the Westerly winds from the Pacific influencing our weather. . . .As a result, we ended up with nearly clear skies in the early hours, with the result temperatures were way down, I measured 18°C 64°F . . ..No rain but condensation on roofs and now, nearly clear skies this morning, just a little bit of cloud in parts, more south in the south. . ..The general SW winds appear to be much dryer presently.
So I am expecting mainly sun today, with white puffy clouds developing later, but no sign of rain.
Typically, as the day warms up, the Caribbean Easterly winds start up. . . . This is happening right now. . . .There is some conflict between the Caribbean wind and the Westerlies from the Pacific. . . . .The result being that cloud is forming right now and moving over Belize from the East. . . How widespread and how thick cover this will form is not clear yet.
