On Friday, ground was broken at the newly proposed site where the Ministry of Foreign Affairs office building will be built. For a while now, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been borrowing space at different Government headquarters, without having a building assigned solely for Foreign affairs duties. Recently it has been housing at the NEMO Headquarters in Belmopan. The new proposed plan seeks to build a state of the art building, sponsored by the Taiwan Government, in a three plus acre parcel of land located behind the Governor Generals Office and the Ministry of Finance Office.
