The wind on Ambergris Caye this morning is kickin up to 18 mph and the sea is rough. Our expected high is 86 and it's a sunny day. It might be a good day to stay tied to the dock.

From Belmopan...

Things a bit complicated this morning, after the early morning fog cleared. . . ..The Caribbean surface easterly wind has now picked up by 10 am. . . . There have been some very significant high level clouds yesterday afternoon and during parts of the night, but most of that has now cleared, but it has caused some blanket cloud down south, mainly off the Belize coast. . . This had been developing off the Honduras coast, but now appears to be dissipating to the NE and unlikely to reach Belize. . . . .This reversal of direction might be some long distant effect of the cold front, which, is otherwise, not effecting Belize as yet. . . . . But there is cloud associated with that cold front moving in to Mexico and the Yucatan presently. . . . . So it might effect Belize later this evening or through the night, although, at present, I am not seeing much effect from it, but that could change tonight.

I am expecting today to be mainly sunny, with good breezes from the East most of the day, with white clouds developing this afternoon.

From Belmopan...

The cold front is getting nearer. . . . The cold front together with the high level Pacific winds have caused some high cloud over parts of Belize, and even some Thunder, particularly in the Cayo area.. . .. That high cloud now moving over northern Belize, between Belize City and Orange Walk. . . There could be some rain from it later. . . .You can see the cloud forming cold front in the top left side of the picture in Mexico, that is getting larger now. . . . .There could be some rain over night in any part of Belize over night. . . Probably not a lot, but more likely in the north.

The Windfinder is saying it's going to kick in about 6:am sat. and blow from the North at 21 mph by 9:am when the boats depart. should be an interesting morning.
