OK....this will be my 5th trip to AC and it is time to try fishing. I plan to book a day trip as soon as I arrive. Should I buy my fishing license online so that is done or can I do it through the vender at the hotel dock?

Is this even law now? Don't think so but not sure.............

they say it is not enforced that strictly, but yes you do need one, I believe you can get one on line(pardon the pun)

You can buy them at Captain Shark's across from Maya Island Air.

I can't find anyone that admits to ever having bought one but yes i think it's a law but can't find an outlet that sells them.

I've been told that a license is only required if you're sport fishing off a boat. For fishing the docks and beaches, no problem. I get mine at El Pescador, or online.
