Underwater Submersible Runs Aground on Reef Off Ambergris Caye

With the fun and safe celebrations, at times come some mishaps like this private sailboat running around in the reef very close to the Hol Chan Marine Reserve. It is located approximately in front of Pelican Reef Villas, three miles south of San Pedro Town.

Hol Chan Marine Reserve personnel and rangers have already been alerted to the situation and departed early this morning, Thursday, April 2, 2015, to the site to start running damage assessments to the reef and work on removing the vessel from the reef before it makes more damage.

Good news is that the sailboat was removed from the reef, but for now sits on a shallow patch of seagrass bed because its hull was badly damaged when it ran aground on the reef.

Is this the sailboat that ran on to the reef in December or a new one? I'm pretty sure the one from December had its mast removed awhile ago.

ETA: never mind. I read the story above. I was confused by the "Submersible" headline.
