Hi,

Each time I go to AC, I stop by that craft store a little south of the airport. They have some beautiful wooden walking sticks and I'd like to bring one or two back as gifts. I'm hearing that I cannot bring something like that on a plane because of security issues. Does anyone know a good way to send something like that back? Alternatively, is there a web site in the US that sells them?

Thanks!

The post office is used to dealing with items like that. Graniel's sends furniture up that way...

I can't see how that is a problem in checked baggage. Carry on maybe.

It is if it's too large to fit. It wouldn't even fit in my dive bag.

You can fairly easily find a long, narrow box to put them in, wrapped in newspaper, and check as an additional bag.

We have a long narrow tube you can have(6'x2"). Brought fishing poles down. If you want it, call 664-8981.

You can also use a piece of PVC pipe and cap the ends.
