Now this is a seriously incredible message to leave in a hotel guestbook.

Alex Ruiz, a former assistant director on the television programme The Simpsons, drew an amazing illustration of Homer and Marge enjoying a beach holiday on July 17.

'We love Thatch Caye,' he scrawled under the charming doodle.

Thatch Caye is a luxury resort in Belize, where, undoubtedly, Marge and Homer would have a great deal of fun in the sun - as evidenced by their beach get-ups and wide grins.

The private island is an all-inclusive complex complete with over-water bungalows and island cabanas.

The image was first posted on Reddit by Alex's girlfriend, along with the message: 'When you are a former Simpsons animator and you go on vacation you always leave a doodle in the guestbook.'

She also added that the two of them had 'an absolutely wonderful stay.'

Alex first began his career at The Simpsons, but has since worked on Avatar and Family Guy.

He is currently a freelance illustrator.
