Embassy of Mexico Belize - Travel Warning - The Embassy of Mexico to Belize informs the general public that the Chactemal Bridge that joins Belize and Mexico, registered 50 centimetres of flooding this morning, therefore advises commuters to avoid using the bridge for the moment. In case of emergencies, they recommend using high vehicles.

Commuters and travels driving down to Belize from Mexico are further advised to use the old "Subteniente Lopez" Bridge to exit Mexico.

NEMO Corozal has confirmed to the Corozal Daily that all bus runs to Sarteneja have been suspended until the current situation with the flooded road improves. At this point, they are closely monitoring the situation with the village chairman to see if it will be necessary to involve the Maritime and BDF boats to transport residents.
