I'm looking at taking a trip to Caye Caulker to look at some property and do some scuba diving.
My problem is that while I'm there (for a week or two), I'm going to need to continue with my day job which requires network access to do a bit of screen sharing and skype-like conferencing. I understand that network access depends not only on the provider but also the configuration and purchased options of the house/hotel where I will be staying (or using Internet access).
All that said, does this type of network access (video/audio conferencing) work reliably from Caye Caulker assuming that the house/hotel has purchased the "better than the cheapest" network option?
Hello Alan, Yes, most places do have internet.. There are a few homes that have the High Speed..but very few as it comes at a premium. You can still Facetime, email, text, watch Netfix, etc with the standard service. You cannot Skype in Belize as it is blocked.
The Barrier Reef bar has a great connection. Have your lunch or dinner and sign on. If you need to bring your "cord" there are plenty of options to plug in.
