With the street vendors and the large palapa out of Central Park, everything looks more spacious and brighter. There is more open space, beach area and available park benches for everybody to enjoy. We love how Central Park looks now; we bring you a bird's eye view of the park in downtown San Pedro for you to enjoy.

I am looking forward to strolling over there from time to time and just sitting and enjoying the view and breeze. It's been many years since this could be done in peace and comfort. Bravo San Pedro Town Council and all those that have worked so hard to improve and beautify the park.

Agree, and have a crazy idea that the next step is cleaning up the swimming area ..... And (radical suggestion) making the concrete pier a recreational area. Anybody liking that idea ? If so please PM me and let's see what we can do.

All they have to do now is bury the electrical cables. They are an eyesore. Plus if you get the big blow down the come.

The cables are more threatened by flooding than they are by storms is my understanding. The last time there was damage to cables would have been Dean in 2007 but we've had many more major rain events before and since then.

Researching Ambergris/Caye caulker. I read that street vendors in this park were a good way to eat cheap. Where were they moved to? or is my info outdated?

they have been moved to the back side, the lagoon side. Not too far from Central park. About a three block walk.
