Belize Weather Forecast: February 21, 2016

General Situation:
Belize NMS: Mainly fair weather conditions will prevail the next couple of days. Mainly fair and increasingly warmer weather through to mid-week, then a cold front crosses the country on Wednesday night.
Advisories: None.
24-hour forecast: Mostly sunny today, partly cloudy skies tonight and mostly sunny skies tomorrow. Showers will be isolated.
Winds: Northeast 10-20 knots.

Today: Winds: East 5-15 kts.; seas: Choppy - moderate.; waves: 3-5 ft.; isolated showers.
Tomorrow: Winds: East 5-15 kts.; seas: Choppy.; waves: 3-4 ft.; isolated showers.
Marine Outlook: Monday night:- Winds: E-SE 10-20 kts.; seas: Choppy - moderate.; waves: 3-5 ft; isolated showers.

General Outlook: For Monday and Monday night is for continuing generally fair weather with only isolated showers developing.
Tropical Weather Outlook: Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 48 hours in the North Atlantic, the Caribbean Sea or Gulf of Mexico.

Caribbean Forecast: A cold frontal boundary will extend west southwestward across the western Atlantic, the southern United States and northeast Mexico on Monday. The tail end of this frontal boundary will generate isolated showers and thunderstorms over the Mexican states of Coahuila and Nuevo Leon. Piedras Negras, Mexico, will experience morning thunderstorms with a high of 78(F)/ 25(C). Meanwhile, an easterly wave of low pressure will bring scattered showers and stray thunderstorms to parts of the Yucatan Peninsula, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras and Nicaragua. Belmopan, Belize, will have a chance of afternoon showers with a high of 83(F)/ 28(C). High pressure will influence a dry weather pattern across most of Mexico on Monday. Mexico City, Mexico, will be sunny with a high of 82(F)/ 27(C). Guadalajara, Mexico, will be sunny with a high of 85(F)/ 29(C).

OP Marty	From Belmopan... Looks like fairly steady weather for the next few days. Belize is largely cloud free, some over parts of the south, which will probably thin this morning, there have been a very few small light patches of rain down south. The easterly Caribbean winds are fairly free of cloud at present. The high level westerly having very little effect, its cloud been thinning this morning. Looks like today will be mainly sunny, some white puffy clouds may build this afternoon, rain unlikely. Temperatures in Belmopan : Today is probably going to be Warmer, to yesterday : Sat, max 29°C 84°F Last night min 20°C 68°F ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler )
