Belize NMS: A relatively moist northeasterly airflow will prevail through the weekend... followed by improving conditions early next week.

24-hour forecast: Mostly cloudy skies with isolated showers or light rain this morning. Showers and rain will increase mainly over inland areas this afternoon, then spread to most areas tonight.

General Outlook: For Saturday and Saturday night is for continuing mostly cloudy skies with a few showers affecting most areas of the country.
Tropical Weather Outlook: Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 48 hours in the North Atlantic, the Caribbean Sea or Gulf of Mexico.

Caribbean Forecast: A strong low pressure system will move northeastward across the southeastern corner of the United States and the western Pacific on Friday. A cold frontal boundary associated with this system will extend southwestward over the Gulf of Mexico and eastern Mexico. As this frontal boundary transitions east southeastward, it will generate widespread rain and thunderstorms across southeast Mexico, Guatemala and Belize. Mexico City, Mexico, will experience intermittent showers throughout the day with a high of 64(F)/ 17(C). Villahermosa, Mexico, is forecast to receive between 10 to 20 millimeters of rain with a high of 82(F)/ 27(C). Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will also be possible over portions of the Greater Antilles. Most of northern and western Mexico will stay clear of wet weather on Friday. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, will be sunny with a high of 91(F)/ 32(C). Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, will be sunny with a high of 84(F)/ 28(C).
