Answers galore on this one, but anyone flown American with in-cabin pets? I am told, 1 of the girls is borderline too big for United and they only allow max of 2 on single flight. I hate Delta, too much lost luggage and rude people in our experiences, but if have to fly them to keep the family in tact will do it! We are working stiffs so can't afford charter, although do own a plane and have pilot hubby, just not Ocean Size!...Alaska Bush. Which will be my next posting question....

Hello Godgirl.....Our pets were the most important part of our move to the island....It's been a few years however after using most of the airlines we found only one that seemed to care. United Airlines has a PetSafe program that can't be beat.. www.united.com/web/en-US/content/travel/animals/petsafe.aspx ....I know they have some in cabin rules, however even in cargo they were exceptionally protective of our baby.....Of course be sure and get your Belize paperwork in order so that when you arrive you have an easy entry..... www.baha.org.bz/index.php/dept/animal-health/entry-requirements Wishing you all the best with your transition....

It's a "unique" mindset that takes THREE cats on vacation to Belize.

(((Sigh))))

BTW, I have some contacts with therapists who would love to talk to you.

Thank you all! Yes this is permanent moving, however the "Girls" go where we go, usually. It was only 2 for a long while, but for some unknown reason, cats find us wherever we are...and this last one had to stay. Background on our "Insanity for Cats"...We lived in WA state, worked in the oil fields in ND for 3 years and drove every other weekend 14 hours one way with 2 cats in the truck, (sometimes pit stopped overnight half way at hotels) back home just so they could play in their yard! After that we worked over in the Seattle area and came home (2 hours) every weekend for same reason...another 2 years. Yes they r spoiled! Heck we had to find a house with a fence in BZ just for them, which we managed to do. As far as a therapist, Jackson Galaxy (of "My Cat From Hell" fame) is ours! We will have to "Catify" our new digs when they arrive...NUTS WE ARE!

Sorry ..... I hadn't considered that it may have been more than a vacation (which most people do .....and it wouldn't be the first time for silly animal travelers)

Godgirl, best of luck in your new home.
