Conditions will gradually become less moist and unstable by mid-week. Advisories: *Small Craft Caution in effect for gusty winds and occasionally rough seas near showers and thunderstorms.* 24-hour forecast: Mostly cloudy with a few showers or periods of rain mainly over northern and central areas this morning, then some showers and thunderstorms over most areas this afternoon amd tonight. Cloudy at times tomorrow along with a few showers and thunderstorms. Winds: East - southeast at 10-20 knots with occasional higher gusts. Marine Forecast: Today: Winds: E-SE 10-20 kts.; seas: Moderate - rough.; waves: 4-7 ft ; a few showers and periods of rain mainly north. Tomorrow: Winds: East 10-20 kts ; seas: Moderate ; waves: 4-6 ft.; a few showers and thunderstorms. Marine Outlook: Sunday night:- Winds: East 10-20 kts.; seas: Moderate.; waves: 4-6 ft.; a few showers and thunderstorms mostly south. Sea Surface Temp (°F): 81 General Outlook: For Sunday and Sunday night is for generally cloudy skies with a few showers and thunderstorms mostly over southern and coastal areas. Tropical Weather Outlook: A tropical wave near the Yucatan Peninsula has a small chance of cyclone formation after it moves into the Bay of Campeche within the next 48 hours. Elsewhere in the Gulf of Mexico, the North Atlantic, and the Caribbean Sea tropical cyclone formation is not expected within the next 48 hours. From Belmopan...

This whole area is in turmoil, swell-ups in any place, last night northern Belize and the Yucatan, causing a lot of rain. This is now moving away up northwards. Dryer conditions behind. There have been strong easterly Caribbean winds in the Caribbean but not getting to Belize.

Looks like there is going to be a lot of cloud around, some sun occasionally, there remains the risk of rain after the northern rain has moved on.

On Ambergris Caye this morning the wind has calmed to 5 mph from lasts nights storm but the reef hasn't had time to react yet. It's still rough. The expected high is 88 and the sky is grey from heavy overcast.
