U.S. Southern Command is based out of Dorel, Florida. SotoCano airbase though is reasonably close.
BATSUB is slowly revamping in Belize, we'll see if any border protection comes with the training units.

Dear Jim,

You hit it right on the head, this is why most of the people voted out.

"Then to set up unelected officials in Brussels to make the rules was probably a recipe for failure." "On top of that throw in unlimited immigration and there you have it."

Born a Welshman bread in Yorkshire England. Served 12 years for Queen and Country. Now living and working in San Pedro.

Thank you. Time will tell but I think I'm also right about the doom and gloom that will not come to pass. Notice that the US Markets have erased the initial drop in equities. In addition many market pundits think that the Brexit will have no effect on American markets long term. Europe has been headed down hill for a while so that will probably continue.

The effects of this vote will play out for months, maybe years, before it takes effect and it is in Europe's interest to continue to trade with Great Britain. The same with the rest of the world. In the meantime adjustments to laws and trade agreements will take place. The traditional relationship with Belize and other Commonwealth Countries will probably prevail and I doubt there will be any substantial changes. In the very least it is very premature to think that it will. The USA banking laws including FACTA are more dangerous to the Caribbean than Brexit. But politicians and the anti-Trump crowd need something to say. The drop in the British pound will make British exports and tourism (including golf) more attractive just as Trump stated.

The talk of losing the Navy base for Nuclear Subs in Scotland is way premature also. Does anyone really think that Scotland would kick the Brits out and shut that base? Even if the worse happened and Scotland broke off from Britain I'd bet that an arrangement would be made to allow the base to continue to operate just like other bases that countries have in foreign lands. All in all a lot of noise and that is all it is, at least for now.
