On Ambergris Caye this morning we have a calm sea with the breeze from the East at 9 mph. Our expected high is 88.

From Belmopan...

That tropical INVEST 97L really concentrated last night. It has taken in that high level cloud that I thought might have pushed it northwards and other cloud to its NW and made it stronger, it got really massive last night and with a lot of out pouring. https://www.wunderground.com/hurricane/?MR=1 have updated its maximum wind speed to 45 mph, but still classify it as an Invest ( tropical activity needing investigation, see below ), not a Tropical Storm. Its movement has slowed down and now slightly to the north of its earlier track, more towards Yucatan than Belize now. Meanwhile, that regular ITCZ activity from Nicaragua and Honduras, brought significant rain over Belize last night, causing thunderstorms in several parts of Belize from south to north. Most of that rain has now passed, still just a few lingering bits. There could be the odd rain shower at other times during the day.

Looks like today, after the worst of the cloud has cleared, will become mainly sunny, but with some clouds and the odd chance of some rain showers.

Just a reminder.
White Arrows are the typical cloud or air movement we can see above us, usually the Caribbean wind.
Yellow Arrows are mid level cloud that can have effect on our weather.
Orange Arrows are the high level cloud or air movement that sometimes influences our weather.
Red Arrows are usually for Tropical Storms

Light Blue arrows are Surface wind, when different from the regular White arrow wind
Dark Blue arrows are the direction Rain is advancing in and that is not necessarily the same as the wind direction.
