Recently I initiated a transfer from one BB account to another to pay a bill.
Recipient did not receive the money. Deduction had not been made from my account, so I initiated another transfer.
This time I saved the confirmation notice.
Two weeks later the recipient informed me the money was still not in their account.
I informed BB San Pedro and supplied them with my confirmation notice. Two days later, I am told that the process goes like this ..... you initiate an online transfer, online banking contacts your local bank to tell them to do the transfer. BBSP apologizes for the inconvenience, but Online never informed them. Unfortunately this does not seem to be an isolated incident. The recipient said their office has had several problems with BB to BB transfers recently.
Today I received a notice that my BEL bill was unpaid/overdue. I looked at my bill and saw my notation that I had paid it online upon receipt. I went into my bill pay history and the transfer had not been made. I did it again online, printed the confirmation and checked to see that the sum had been deducted from the account.
The local branch is nice, but there is something very very wrong over in Belize City. Beware.
