The choices of motels on AC are lengthy. We're going there in the off season. Could we go without having reservations? Then pick the place we liked best?

Even in the off season, a few places might be booked up, but there is no doubt that you would find somewhere to stay that you would like. I don't think it would be a problem. Just bear in mind that you must be flexible. YOu may even have to stay at a few different places, but that would be half the fun!!

We landed Tropic Air in San Pedro and asked the taxi guy to drive us around untill we found a place that 'ZINGED" us. We did end up staying at 3 different places due to availabilty, our favorite was tHe TIDES in North San Pedro. It is a cute pink/white 3 story colonial doll house that is CHEAP! they have a/c, fridge and a dive shop &Tiki Bar. we stayed on the 3rd floor and loved the seabreeze and awsome wrap around porch! What a view! It is close to local restaurants and local grocery store... we loved it!

We just got back the 13th from our first trip to AC. We decided that our next trip we will maybe make a reservation for our first night and then check out other places to stay. You can almost always negotiate prices, since they would rather get something for their room than have vacancies. And this is high season!
