Just returned and have a short trip report, no pictures alas, don't know how to post them, but will learn!!
The weather was amazing!! Sun, sun and more sun!!
We stayed at the Blue Tang Inn as we did last February. They have added safes in the rooms, very nice touch. BUT the big addition is a deck on top of the hotel(third floor roof). You can see for miles and miles(isn't that a song?). Anyway, there are tables and chairs up there for sunset watching and cocktail drinking. We really enjoyed having Happy Hour up there. The views are truely beautiful. Fanny and the staff were awesome as usual.
Went to Caye Caulker by water taxi, pleasant ride over. Had lunch at the Rainbow Bar and Grill, yummy shrimp burritos, and lobster burritos. Walked down to the split and went swimming and took in the view. What a gorgeous spot. Can't wait to go back!!(in April for 3 nights). Back to San Pedro and off to dinner at Casa Picasso. We had never eaten there before but always read on this board how good it is so off we went. From the moment you walk into the place, you are made to feel special. Chris welcomed us and we really had a wonderful evening. The food and drinks are awesome. I had crab cakes and casear salad. Soooo good! For dessert we shared Bananas Picasso. Thought we had died and gone to heaven. As Capt Jeff says, we were living the dream!!! Thanks Chris!!
Also enjoyed dinner at Blue Water Grill, food was very good and the key lime pie was wonderful!
Caliente, Jade Garden(still has the best egg rolls in the world) and of course Papi's( can't go to San Pedro and not eat at Papi's) are all as terrific as ever.
Special thanks to Steve from Coconets for his help. We had an episode with our golf cart and a parked bike. Steve arrived and saved the day and we really appreciated it!! What we remember of it!!
We had a great trip. We will be back in April. One editorial comment. No one offered us(there were four of us) anything. No hassles with anyone. Out alot in the evenings, walking and no problems of any kind. Just a great trip and lots of great memories to bring home with us. Thanks to San Pedro and her friendly, smiling people.
