Found $200 round trip and booked for July 4th through the 9th. Now I need a place to stay. Anyone know a cheap ($100 or so) hotel with a pool close to town. Have stayed at Ramon's before and want to try some place different. Am looking at Sunbreaze, The Palm and Blue Tang...any suggestions? Mainly going to dive.

Thanks
Patrick

Then I suggest the Sunbreeze as the Aqua Dives Dive shop is just on the beach infront of the hotel.

Hi, trina I would suggest the Orange Walk area. There is a lot to offer there. In particular there is the Lamanai Outpost lodge that offers exactly what you're looking for. You can contact me if you need more info at djones@btl.net

Look at the link under diving on the main page of this site to Hustler dive shop with their dive and stay package. A pretty smoking deal and they team up with the
Blue Tang Inn which has a pool and Hustler dive shop is right there in front of the hotel

Look at Banana Beach .. very nice , with a great pool and a great staff. Housekeeping there is impeccable. The Hotel is new and looks it. Rooms are modern and fully equipped with kitchens. Ask about it on this board

Hey Patrick - I've heard good things about SunBreeze, and am headed there for 9 days of diving with Aqua from June 26-July 4th. I'll pass the baton to you on the 4th!

I would highly recommend the palms. It is close to town. It was quiet. Has a very nice pool. Rooms were nice. Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Where ever you pick I bet you will have a good time. Enjoy.
