After looking into it for quite a while, my fiance and I have decided that AC, Belize is where we'd like to honeymoon. I've looked at probably all the resorts' webpages and we are having a tough time deciding where to stay! We do know that we don't want an all-inclusive and we want a kitchen in our room too. Beachfront would be nice as well as private cabanas (detached). Any suggestions? Are there any with all of those things that aren't ridiculously priced? So far, we like Xanadu Island Resort (I don't think their suites are detached) and Belizean Shores. Any help would be graciously appreciated. By the way, our wedding is in the beginning of November, so we would be honeymooning the 2nd week in November. Is that a good time? Weather O.K.?
We're looking forward to visiting, but would like to get all of the plans set first before it's too late!!!
Thanks for your help,
Erin

for honeymoon, you have to tell us if you want to be FAR away from everyone, or close enuff to see civilization.
lots of honeymooners love victoria house. great reputation.

yes on barb!

great time of year to visit AC - is there really a bad time?????

Honeymoons w/o kitchens - Victoria House does get a good rap for that.

I don't think we want to stay too far away from civilization, we'd like to be in close proximity to restaurants/hot spots. We'd like to be somewhere we could have access to do a lot of different things.
Does Barb's Belize have a website?
Thanks for your help thus far!

Xanandu is nice , Belezian Shores is north up the coast and you will need a water taxie to come into town.

Look at Banana Beach resort ... Has everything and you can walk to town

What about Belize Beach Suites? What I see on their website looks awesome, with kitchens too. Anyone familiar with them?
Thanks.

yes, true, for vaca. or i would say caribe island, where i stayed.

but for a honeymoon...i think VH is just much classier. more romantic.

the water taxi thing, it's ok, but i don't much care for it.
