o jackie - the Biltmore cost $85US + taxes which brought it to $99. The grounds, pool, lobby and restaurant were very nice - the room was pretty much like Motel 6 (nothing special but comfy. From what I read here afterwards, Lan recommends staying in their luxury rooms which run $99 + taxes. They have been upgraded and have new carpeting, mattresses, etc. (Our carpet had been scorched by an iron...hehehe) No BIGGIE. Especially since we weren't planning to stay in BC and didn't really research things ahead of time, we were thrilled with finding the Biltmore. One of the things I liked was the fact that the rooms open up to the courtyard which is only accessable through the lobby. This helped considerably with our safety concerns. I would definitely stay there again with no hesitation. BTW - Lan also said discounts are usually available.
