we just got back on monday & are still feeling the pain of leaving...my hubby didn't want to go for the longest time & once I got him there he didn't want to come back..he actually bought a paper & looked at the real estate section (lol! anyone got an extra $250 grand?)..isn't that how everyone feels after going there?

we stayed at seven seas & had a great time there...really nice staff, each & every one..they were very helpful with anything we asked...found us a great deal on a golf cart, $32 for 24 hrs

we took a sunset cruise on my bday w/a new outfit, Unity tours, I think...we were the only 2 & they still came right to the pier in front of our hotel in a nice, big catamaran & sailed us up & down the coast while we watched the sunset behind the island...it was fantastic & the crew (just 2 guys & his lil sister) celebrated w/us...thought it was especially nice of them to do the trip since there were only the 2 of us...I'm sure w/them being new, they are trying to build their reputation, which is everything & they definitely have our vote...it's a nice new boat (big, too)

we tried to hit as many restaurants as possible, Estel's was our favorite, simply for the view & the sand under your feet (but great food as well!!)...Caliente's was the best meal, with the Blue Water Grill a close second and JamBels was great (HOT! and we asked for mild, don't even want to know how spicy the really hot stuff is)...Papi's was excellent & Sweet Basil's was just as good as the others, can't complain about any of the food, it was all good...we had lobster & shrimp for almost every meal until I thought I might wake up in a shell!

Fido's had good food, but they changed the menu since last summer...seems like it's just a little more pricey & as I remember it from last year, they used to offer food more like Papi's...guess they are trying to upgrade a little more for the tourists...Category 7 was rockin & we had fun there & at Iguana's too

as always the people really made the time there special...the little kids who hitch a ride on your cart from one end of the island to the other are delightful and can tell you lots of interesting info about anything there!!! everyone we met was super warm, welcoming and treat you just like you're family

three trips now & I'm still ready to go right back...at least now my better half is ready to go with me and doesn't roll his eyes every time I dream about it...now he dreams with me!

Sounds like you had a great time. I agree about Estel's- Can't beat that view and digging your toes in the sand! I ate at least one meal per day there and was never disappointed. Will be back in less than a week and will probably be my first stop after dropping bags in room (Those crackers they give on a seven hour journey just don't cut it!)

ellydognme, you remind me of myself! went there last summer for the 1st time & had to go back 2 months later...it's kinda addictive, isn't it?

magoo, 7 seas was full when we got there, but a couple rooms below opened up for a few days & it was pretty quiet...filled back up on friday or saturday again, tho...definitely suited us well, quiet in the mornings & evenings & close enough to get to anything quick...always a beautiful walk along the beach to and from at any time of nite or day

jackie, the golf cart was from a company called Carts R Us & they're right by the airport, but will pick you up at your hotel...the $32 deal is in US cash, but well worth it when most others are around 50
