Excito is listing a 395.00 airfare out of Lax right now. I am sure that if it is this low from LA, it would be the same or lower from elsewhere. (Once agian, pays to book late-I have now spent almost 200.00 more than needed!. Maybe they will make my day and list for 99.99 right before I leave!)

I noted low fares to and from California right now for several US cities, in fact dirt cheap.

If you book at the last minute beware of conslidators as they will refuse to give you an e ticket and you may not receive your paper ticket in time. If you are booking within 3 days of your travel date, be sure to book direct with airline, they will e ticket you as they don't have the "paper required for commission" problem. (Learned this the hard way).

I leave on Wednesday (2:00 am to catch 6:30 flight) for another three week stay. I think I had told you and Linda that I could stay all summer, and that is what I should have done. Ya know, I am just the kinda girl who likes to learn things the hard way. . .

Leave early for flight or you will miss plane-Only order clear liquids while in flight-Don't overpack or you will drop extra case on ankle-Don't return from SP until you are ready or you will have to shell out extra money for new flight- And finally, last but not least-Don't buy your tickets two weeks early or you may have to watch in agony as the fare dips hundreds lower than the bargain you were able to find!

Will be thinking of you and Linda as I have my first drink in my new home away from home.

I just checked my fare, and it was up $500.00, so don't bet that they always go down. I thought I was luck to get one under a $1000.00, just remember that those of use that make connecting flights to Houston, or where ever are really at the mercy of the airlines.

Actually as far as I can tell, almost everyone in the US seems to have to make a connection in either Houston, Dallas, or Miami. And all the fares I have spoken of have been from Lax and all include that dreaded connection. I just hate paying more than I have to. It sucks!
