AND Palapa Sundays open Jam!!! 2-8pm...C, after lunch at BC's.....But Sundays at Palapa, most of them give you the BEST music on AC...everyone takes turns and plays together...if you know how to play, they bring extra guitars.....THIS IS NOT KAROAKE...Talented People Only....And "Category 7" as mentioned above, and we like Hideaway too! Just grab a Belikin and GO....

I went to Palapa on Sunday Aug. 11 and although it was very interesting, I was not impressed. Maybe it has to do with the off season. It was one of my interesting moments on the island. Everyone was just sitting around and talking and the band was playing. They had 10-12 year old kid on the drums who (to his credit) was playing, but seemed like he was definitely going to need some practice before he played in front of larger crowds.
Now I do understand that it was a jam session, but the music was off enough that I video taped it for my friends. I was there for about an hour and he was probably just giving somebody else a break.
What I really got out of the moment was how laid back everybody was and just enjoying themselves. I finished my sloppy joe, got back on my bike, and rode to town.

have to also agree best band on AC is catorgory 7; also great pizza at shark's.
But no matter what your on AC even if you hate the food you ordered you will still have the best time and eat peanut butter crakers if you get hungry! Your on AC baby; and no matter what you are going to have the time of you life!

My favorite spot to eat was Sweet Basil's over the cut- but everyone has different taste buds.

Just enjoy your time on the island! Once you get back you will want to go again,
(AND REAL SOON TOO!)

By far the best pizza is from the Bun Man!! I've been trying to duplicate his pizza since I came back from SP. I've got the toppings but not quite the crust. I sure wish he would share the recipe. He says it's actually his wife who is the cook - he just delivers.

Hey small world out there.....how many other people are reading this that know me?????? So now that everyone knows I'm Jamaican and moving to San Pedro, can anyone tell me where, besides Montego Bay that I can get pizza with pineapple (not the canned kind). That is a true Jamaican pizza!
