There was a very brief fire last evening. Looks like some kids where playing with fire crackers and accidentally set on of the thatch roofs in front of the central park on fire. It took the fire department no more than 10 minutes to get to the site and got the fire under control using the two fire engines.

Here is a pic for you to get a better idea.

the fire engines worked better than in the past and the huge crowd around applauded and cheered at them when they started winning the battle on the fire.

Marty,
the response of the fire crew is wonderful. I know that the people in San Pedro were feeling a little vulnerable. This will make many feel better. Glad to hear the engines are now working as they should. Thanks for the news.
