Answers to this question should be fun. Don't know about jacuzzi but thought they all had jets. Not sure if you can get a DWI on a golf cart or bicycle but doubt it.

Mr. Ja.cuz.zi what is the legal drinking age? Can one get a DWI on a golf cart?

Brian etal,
The legal drinking age in BZ is 18.
You may rest assured that the San Pedro police, in the last two years, have become very aggressive with the respect to operation of golf carts. You must be 16 and have your driver's license with you. Drinking while driving a cart, once the favorite pastime of virtually all vistors, is becoming less and less tolerated.
The SP police will set up random check points on Front Street and Coconut Drive to stop all vehicles for proper documents, and driver's license. If you spend a week in SP you will be almost guaranteed to experience this.
I have my own feelings about the motivation and rational behind all this, but that is a horse that has been beaten many times, no need to revisit.

Brian, yes the jacuzzi has jet. The legal drinking age in Belize is 18 yrs old, but if you plan on drinking you cannot drive.
Hi, trina I would suggest the Orange Walk area. There is a lot to offer there. In particular there is the Lamanai Outpost lodge that offers exactly what you're looking for. You can contact me if you need more info at [email protected]

Is that whats going on now??? That stinks. The best laughs I have had in SP were being half-cocked and golf-carting home when a pack of dogs started chasing me down... and winning! (note to self: ask Cholo for the "fast cart" this time!)
Uh huh. Yep. That was me.

Hello, I think everyone is getting the wrong idea about my post. I was asking what the leagal age was to operate a vehicle, and what the legal drinking age was. I have read on some posts that the Blue Tang only has Jacuzzi style bath tubs, and I was curious if they had jets in them. I hope this clarify's everything.
Thanks, Brian

KGB,
Yup, that's a blue drink, the photo being taken on the occasion of it's birth in '96 at the Palapa.
As far as commenting on the developments the last 2 years with respect to traffic "control" in SP, that's something that would probably rekindle a tedious thread of well hashed over points of view. No need to go there.
On a serious note, there is a need to be VERY observant whether on foot, bike, or golf cart while using the sand streets of San Pedro. There are many, many more vehicles on the island then there were even three years ago, making for a tricky situation at times.

As to the Blue Tang Inn tub situation. When last I stayed there, it had not been renovated. With that in mind, I'm saying that the jacuzzi tubs were only available on the top floor. They were indeed jetted tubs.
The suites on floors one and two, had large shower enclosures and no tubs.
This may have changed, but I'd be surprised.
