Can anyone give me information about Tradewinds Villas, and good diving operators....I have friends going in April, and they're booked here.
Thanks for any input!

Tradewinds Villas are VERY nice. The kitchens are fully equipped. Even have a blender for those tropical fruit drinks.... The rooms are airy and comfortable. All at least have AC in the bedroom. Some have central air. The pool is one of the best on the island. The grounds are exquisitely manicured and just lovely. If you rent a golf cart, there is cart parking just outside your room. The patios are large and have furniture to sit out. We borrowed a BBQ grill (it was delivered to our room)so we could grill stuff at lunch and some of our fish we caught. The location is ideal. Short walk to town. A grocery is about a 2 minute walk from the premises. There is security at night as well. they have a laudry service so you can pack light and have your beach towels clean. (We brought our own)We liked it very much.

Just to clarify, as has been noted here many times, there is really no hotel called "Tradewind Villas." Tradewinds Villas are a group of the condo units at Paradise Villas, owned by the same person. Some other condo owners at Paradise Villas rent their units direct or have them managed by Nellie Gomez or Caye Management.

Hi, We have never been to Belize. We hope to be stay in Ambergris Caye. We will travel down from snow country in Michigan this weekend. Help Please! We need a place to stay, not too expensive, maybe very barefoot like, but clean. My boyfriend has an appointment on Monday 11-14-02 at MUA. Please help, we are not sure where to start.

You shouldn't have too much trouble finding a place right now. Why don't you start with clicking on lodging up at the top of this page. Take a look at some of the websites. Contact them and see if they have acco available. Or you could just wing it and look around when you arrive. You might get a great rate that way, if you've the time and energy for that.

Check out Martha's, Ruby's, San Pedrano, Lily's, Conchshell for starters.

A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

Our experience is the same as Debbie's. We have always enjoyed Paradise Villas. Great pool, air conditioning in rooms (some wall unit in BR and some central AC). Though there is no restaurant at the resort, one of the great things about San Pedro is trying all the different restarants. Also, try some of the treats that the young people bring around to the apartments in the afternoon. They are really cute kids and their mothers make great things!

Try Hustler Tours for your diving. We really enjoy their service. They are safety conscious and environmentally concerned. Also, and best of all, they are located just 60 yards north of Paradise Villas (or maybe less). They have always taken good care of us and our equipment (never have to worry about our stuff once we leave the boat!). Enjoy your visit to San Pedro!

Tradewinds Paradise Villas manages 12 of the units at Paradise Villas and all units now have central air conditioning and a full tour desk that can set up all of your excursions as well as diving. Check out the website at www.tradewindsparadisevillas.com
