I stayed at Journey's End back in 1990 and I loved it. I been back twice to the island this year and I went up to see the property and it was not the same. It was looking kind of "worn" but I was told that the rooms were being re decorated over the summer.

We stayed at Journey's End in '93, and loved it, it was our first trip to Belize. We always go close to shore to check out Journey's End from the boat when pasting, but it does not look as appealing now.
Have return many times since, and prefer to stay closer to Town, for all the choices Town provides.

So everyone knows: The Property closed in September this year to take delivery of new furniture and refurbish all cabanas. In addition the pool was resurfaced and the already nice grounds were improved. Take a look at: http://community.webshots.com/album/55076106owDXXh any specific ?s let me know.

Thanks Jonathan, brings back good memories.
Forget about the wonderful beach/water toys, which we enjoyed very much.
Oh the pool, in my opinion is one of the nicest pool, large and a wonderful swim up bar and grill.
Is the new pool surface ceramic tile? I loved the old tiled pool.
This is a good update, and very inviting.

the grounds there were some of the prettiest i had seen on AC, so if they are spiffing up the rooms & the rest, this would indeed be a good thing.

good luck on that, jonathan.
