I remember the first time I took my teenaged son snorkeling at Shark Ray Alley and the reef. He was speechless. Mesmerized. Stunned. In awe. My greatest experience was having him swim up behind me and reach out for my hand. We swam hand in hand, silently observing for an hour. Completely in tune with eachother, and wrapped in a world of exquisite beauty and peace. The eels and turtles were awesome, but nothing compared to the mating dance we witnessed of two squid. They gently caressed eachother, suspended, graceful and changed color right before our eyes. I was afraid to breathe. My son says it's his very best memory.... I agree.

I loved the perspective bit bobber..very funny!!

Ms Coconuts as usual you are the ARTIST OF WORDS!! I don't care what the wreck really was (ship, barge or rowboat) it was AMAZINGLY described and for that; My hat is off to You Ms Coconuts!! I get the same way when I go to the beach for the day....I come back and tell my friends how beautiful it was and how I love the waves and the mist in the air...the romance of it all!! More than once I have had someone say they were there too, and thought it was a drab day at the beach!! So once again one person's chocolate is anothers stale soda cracker!

THe spice of life!! BELIZE IT YA ALL!!!! laugh laugh

Wow Ms. C - You have have one of the best trip reports. Like reading a good novel. Lately there's been some good trip reports and funny how they are all different but the results are the same. Write on, write on...oh, and where are the pics of you playing dice, LOL, I wonder did you mention this to your mom - hahaha.

Debbie, great story about the mating squid. I know what you mean by not breathing. I've felt that way before.

SamHam, I was thinking about teaching my mom the dice game at Christmas. Good idea? smile And actually, i think someone was taking pictures that night...

Mexicana, Thanks! Whenever someone says they don't like the beach, I always give them this strange look and then try and convince them that they really do like it.
