Had our tickets for 8 people for Feb. 1 on US Airways. Took advanrage of their fare sale a couple of months ago. Wanted to try out their new service for our trips to AC. After having all lodging and connecting flights arranged, we got a call from US Air last night that they cancelled our flight. Being on a Saturday in Feb., I know it was not from lack of ticket sales. We get our money back for the US Air flight but were told we're stuck with the other connecting flights (other airlines) we had to arrange. Managed to get in on the last day of the TACA sale and we're still going, just a day earlier and a lot of extra airline tickets we don't know what to do with. Even with those wasted tickets, we're getting off a little cheaper. Of course,we can use them for something else for a $100 fee. Luckily, the accomadations at Coral Bay Villas were flexible enough to work with us.
I'm curious to hear if anyone else has had this problem with US Airways. I hope they are not doing this to get out of their sale fares and upgrade them to regular fares. Anyone else have this problem?
