We got to talk to Wil this morning! He climbed to the roof of Villa A for a better cellular connection and used the last of his cell phone battery to call. We had a good connection and it was wonderful to get to talk at last. We will be closed for 2 months. ts due to each guest. I'll write the checks and mail them back to you so you can send them out. The mahogany roofs held but the tile came off so we will have to ship in tile and re-roof. All the sliding doors and louvers are fine. We lost only one window the stained glass window in number 9. We lost a lot of palms but things will clean up nicely. The guys have already removed all of the screws from the Villa A roof and re tar-papered it. Elde's trailer and Hermes' home received no damage as the were protected by the tall ring of trees. Hilda's family is still staying in #2 and #3. A US couple that lost their home are also staying at CV. Jim and Carol's is the command post. They had NO damage! Herm and Linda joined Jim and Carol and Wil and a U.S. couple that lost their home and have moved into the villas for dinner last night. That was good for all of them I am sure. I didn't ask about Kay but everyone seems to be fine and houses with concrete roofs came out very well. Wil ask me to stay in the U.S. for now. Everyone on the island is concerned about where Hurricane Joyce will go and if she will re-form
You mentioned Kay in this posting. Is that Kay Scott the photographer? We are trying to locate a Canadian couple, Barb and Ian Coull, that were supposed to be with her during the storm. They live 3.5 mi south of San Pedro.
Great to hear such a detailed report! Thanks for the mention of Herm and Linda also. We own a unit a Coral Bay and are thrilled to hear any news at all. Best wishes and our prayers are with everyone.

Who was the US couple staying at the resort? I'm still looking for my sister, Sally Metzgar and her husband, who have a house in the southern part of the island. Please let me know if they are there. Thanks!

I am looking for information regarding Emma Carter who works at Caribbean Villas. Her children and grandchildren are very concerned she is okay. Any news would be greatly appreciated.

Mary, I'm pretty sure the US couple they talked about is my sister and husband, Sally and Craig Metzgar. If possible, please get a message to them that we're thinking about them and love them and are waiting to hear what we can do to help. Thanks!!!!
Yes, Emma is fine and working hard at Caribbean Villas. Spirits are good among the staff and everyone is really pulling together. I will have her take time to write a letter and I will call and read it to him when I get back. At plane to come back late Monday but it is possible that I will end up staying longer?????
