Whew, haven't been on the board for almost a year, but I still read every day. Couldn't get down there this year due to racing our sailboat in Florida this winter. But, just wanted to pass along good comments on the Mayan. Stayed there last year and really, really enjoyed it. Located between Lily's and Fido's. Rooms are clean, spacious and the balconies are great! Didn't close the doors for the whole 10 days. We had the third floor corner room on the south end. It's killing me that we can't get there this year!

Thanks for the information on the Mayan PRincess. THis will be my first time on AC and I appreciate any information that can be given to me. I was told the place has a kitchen. Did you bring food with you to cook or did you eat out all the time. We were told to bring food in ice chests with dry ice. Not sure how that willwork or even if we can do that

There is a small kitchen with fridge (1/2 size), sink, microwave and one (or two?) electric burners. A galley like arrangement. We didn't cook in the room except for re-heating lefovers in the mw (but that counts for "cooking" right?). There were plates, utensils and glassware. It was nice to have somewhere to store breakfast items and leftovers (and Belikins!), but, really, the food is so good and so inexpensive for the most part, that it's hard not to go out.

THanks for the info. So from what you said there are no pans or pots or anything like that. And what is Belikins? Do you recommend certain places to go eat or to go look at. And do you know anything about the Chicken Drop game?

Can't really remember about pots and pans. Each unit could be a little different. Maybe call the Mayan and ask about the set-up. You can always buy a couple of cheap ones. I think the grocery store south of Ramons has lots of that stuff. Also, I'd search the site for info on the chicken drop. Never won, but it's lots of fun!
